Want, should, they, someone, desire, feelings

What should someone do if they do not want the feelings of sex desire for someone?

What should someone do if they feel sex desire for someone, but in their heart and soul they do not want these feelings of sex desire?

This is a counseling question and has sociological implications. This question is also getting at philosophical understanding and higher.

What are some practical ideas, tips or solutions? And this someone may not be able to afford time or money for professional counseling.
This could be someone seen on the street that we don't even know. And we may never see them again.
Certainly an interesting response. No one mentioned yoga practices.
